Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 May 2026
Pitch Pulse 26 ("the App") is built with privacy by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what data the App handles and why. If something isn't clear, email us — we'll fix the wording.
Who we are
Pitch Pulse 26 is operated by an independent developer based in the United States. Contact: vectorxlabs@gmail.com.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not ask for your name, phone number, location, or contacts.
- We do not use the IDFA (Apple's advertising identifier) and do not show advertising.
- We do not embed third-party tracking SDKs (no Firebase, no Facebook SDK, no AppsFlyer, no Google Analytics).
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell, share, or rent any data to advertisers, brokers, or third parties.
- We do not access your photos, microphone, camera, calendar, or contacts.
Information we handle
Live Activity push tokens
When you start a live match on your Lock Screen, iOS generates a push token tied to that activity. The App sends this token to our server so we can deliver score updates. The token is not linked to your identity and is automatically discarded when the match ends or after 8 hours, whichever is sooner.
Local preferences
Your favorite teams, host cities, onboarding state, and notification toggles are stored on your device only. They are never sent to our server. Uninstalling the App removes them.
Anonymous, aggregate-only telemetry
To understand how the App is used and where we can improve it, the App sends a small number of anonymous events to our server. Each event includes:
- The event name (one of:
app_opened,onboarded,team_favorited,city_opened,match_detail_opened,live_activity_started). - The App version (e.g. "1.0").
- The tournament phase derived from the device clock ("buildUp", "live", or "aftermath").
- For some events, a non-personal identifier — a team code (e.g. "USA"), a city slug (e.g. "metlife"), or a match ID. None of these identify you.
What we explicitly do not include: device IDs, advertising IDs, account IDs, user IDs, IP addresses, geolocation, screen recordings, or anything else that could identify or re-identify you. We use this data only in aggregate ("how many people opened a city guide this week?") — never to look at an individual.
Questions you send us
If you tap "Ask a question" or "Send feedback" in the App, the text you write is sent to our server. If you choose to include an email address, we use it only to reply to your question. We never share your email or your question, and we never use the email for marketing, lists, or anything other than replying to that conversation.
If you do not include an email address, we still receive the question (so we can learn what users want to know), but we have no way to reply to you.
Crash and performance data
If you have opted in to share diagnostics with Apple (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash reports with us through Apple's standard developer tools. We do not receive this data unless you have opted in via iOS.
How match data is fetched
To protect your IP address, the App does not contact third-party data providers directly. Match data is fetched server-side, cached, and served to your device through our caching layer. Your device only ever talks to our server (running on Cloudflare's edge network).
Push notifications
Push notifications are delivered through the Apple Push Notification service (APNs). We send only the minimum information required to render a score update or kickoff alert — typically the home and away score, the match minute, and the match phase. We do not include personal information in any push payload.
Data retention
- Live Activity push tokens: retained only during an active match (maximum 8 hours per Apple's Live Activity limits), then deleted.
- Anonymous telemetry events: retained indefinitely in aggregate form. They contain no PII, so there is nothing personal to expire.
- Support inbox questions: retained for up to 12 months so we can refer back to past conversations. Earlier deletion on request — see below.
- Server logs: standard Cloudflare access logs (timestamps + request paths) retained for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention.
Your rights
Because the App stores almost nothing about you, there is usually nothing to access, export, or delete. The two exceptions:
- If you sent us a question through the in-app form and want us to delete it (and any email you included), email vectorxlabs@gmail.com from the email address you used, or describe the question, and we will delete it within 30 days.
- If you would like a copy of the data we hold about you, email the same address and we will send it (in practice this will be very short — typically zero rows).
If you uninstall the App, iOS automatically removes all local preferences from your device, and any active push token becomes invalid.
Region-specific notes
EU / EEA / UK (GDPR): Our legal basis for handling the limited data above is legitimate interest in improving the App and providing support. You have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Categories of personal information we collect are listed above. You have the right to know, delete, and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
Children
The App is rated for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If the data we handle ever changes, we will update this policy and bump the date at the top before the new version is released. Material changes will also be flagged inside the App on next launch.
